Here is a quick tutorial for a basic Elmsley count sleight. Its used in a lot of card tricks and effects. I hope this tutorial will help out new card magicians. Its an easy sleight to perform and it can be very convincing. Enjoy!

Great opener from the prolific mind of Alex Elmsley. A deck consisting of nothing but backs is introduced. The magician proceeds to locate all four aces from the shuffled deck, only it's pointless because only the backs are showing! However, the faces are magically restored to the deck, and the tabled cards turn out to be the aces after all. What I especially like about this is that you end clean, with nothing but a regular deck of cards in your hands, and the four aces have already been produced in an amazing fashion, for the magician to use or control as he desires. Neat!
